12.4.24 - After inducting 40 individuals into the Council of Fellows at the October Conference, the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) has opened the call for nominations for the 2025 Class of Fellows and will accept applications until February 1, 2025.

Members are nominated under one of four categories: Works, Leadership/Management, Knowledge, and Service. Any ASLA member can recommend another eligible ASLA member for consideration, and the nomination must be officially made by the executive committee of a chapter, the ASLA, or the Council of Fellows. According to the ASLA, there is no minimum or maximum of nominations that can be made per chapter, and there is no set number of Fellows that can be selected, as all are chosen based on the merit of their own career and contributions. This year, the ASLA chose 40 individuals, with 48 selected in 2023.

Earlier this summer, chapters received a list from the ASLA of all members who are eligible for nomination, members who are current ASLA Full Members in good standing, who have been full members for at least 10 consecutive years when nominated, who have contributed greatly and made a significant positive impact on the profession, and who have received recognition from other sources.
