ASLA Announces the National Officer Slate

Each year the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) chooses a new group of officers to lead association members. Each representative, whether the president or an area vice president (Finance, Membership or Professional Practice) serves the association as a spokesperson and liaison.

Recently the ASLA announced its 2013 candidates, they are as follows:

Candidates for President-Elect
Mark Allen Focht, FASLA and Vaughn B. Rinner, ASLA

Candidates for Vice President, Finance
David L. Lycke, FASLA and Richard H. Powell, ASLA

Candidates for Vice President, Membership
Shawn T. Kelly, FASLA and Steven N. Rodie, ASLA

Candidates for Vice President, Professional Practice
Hunter L. Beckham, ASLA and Annette P. Wilkus, ASLA

Voting to select the 2013 president will open Wednesday, May 14th and close Wednesday, June 13th at midnight Pacific Standard Time. On Friday, June 22nd the Tellers Committee will review and verify the election results. Current president, Susan M. Hatchell, FASLA, will immediately contact the candidates and the results will be announced in LAND on June 26th.

The vice presidential election will be held on Saturday, May 12th at the midyear meeting of the Board of Trustees and results will be announced in LAND on May 15th.
