ACI Hands Out Honors

Adds 18 New Fellows

The American Concrete Institute, whose mission includes advancing the concrete industry through achievement and commitment of their members, announced this year's affiliates who were recognized for accomplishments in the industry.

The American Concrete Institute bestowed their highest honor, ACI Honorary Membership to Dean A. Browning, Gary J. Klein, Harald S. M??? 1/4 ller, Genaro L. Salinas, Eldon (Tipp) G. Tipping, and James K. Wight.

The ACI also announced 18 new Fellows, 40 professionals, groups, and companies for their contributions to the industry and the ACI Foundation recognized two members for their assistances. In addition, the following individuals will celebrate their fiftieth year of membership in ACI: William D. Arockiasamy, Alvin J. Badeaux Jr., Rabih Batal, Yogindra N. Anand, Alberto Giovambattista, John Hickel, Donald Hodgetts, Lawrence F. Kahn, Larry M. La Follette, Adrian Long, Denis Mitchell, Robert S. Opie, Richard R. Pikul, Basile G. Rabbat, Emiliano H. Ruiz, Jorge I. Segura, John M. Simpson, Ake L. Vebo, Gerald M. Veiluva, Helmuth Wilden, Loring A. Wyllie Jr., and Nadeem Zebouni.

"It is an honor to recognize and celebrate these great achievements," wrote Ron Burg, executive vice president of the institute, "I would personally like to thank all our awardees and encourage you to congratulate your fellow members on their outstanding contributions and commitment to ACI and to the concrete industry.
