Biography:

Steve Sykes began his career in the Lawn and Garden Industry as the controller of Snapper Power Equipment in 1983. He received his education at the University of Virginia in Accounting and received his Master?EUR??,,????'???s Degree in Business from Golden Gate University in 1979. Steve passed the CPA exam and worked for several large CPA firms before joining Snapper.

Additionally Steve served in the Armed Forces, attending Airborne School and anger School before being commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Corps of Engineers after college. His final rank in the U.S. Army Reserves was a Major.

Steve moved out to Calfornia in 1988 with Snapper to increase Snapper?EUR??,,????'???s sales, which he did do. Over the years WCS Distributing, Inc. has taken on many products for servicing dealers sell to landscapers, who needed quality products at affordable prices. Steve?EUR??,,????'???s business model of always putting the customer first, even when it costs him money, has helped WCS make it though the current recession with a very minor sales decrease.

WCS began selling Carlton Chain in November 2009. Sales have exceeded WCS?EUR??,,????'??? expectation. High quality chain, combination packs (bar and chain together) at fair pricing, especially the .043 guage chain have led the way. Chain safety and proper techniques of sharpening are very important for the end user.
